How we protect you

Common scams

Only send money to people you know and trust. Once a payout is completed, it can’t be reversed.

“Customer support” asking for a code or PIN
Real CrossaPay staff never ask for your password, mobile money or bank PIN, or a one-time code — by phone, WhatsApp, text, email or social media. Anyone who does is a scammer.
A screenshot or alert saying you’ve been paid
Screenshots and text alerts are easy to fake. Only trust money you can see in your own bank or mobile money account.
“I sent you money by mistake — please send it back”
Don’t send anything back yourself. Check your own account first, and contact your bank or provider if money really did arrive.
Someone you’ve only met online asks for money
Be very careful with people you’ve never met in person, especially if they ask for money urgently, for an emergency, a visa, a parcel or an investment.
Investments or jobs that promise quick returns
If you have to pay to receive money, prize winnings or a job, it’s almost certainly a scam.
